Skin Potion No.1, Natural Facial Oil, 4oz

Cleansing:

• Wet a cotton ball, cotton round, or a portion of a cloth with warm water.
• Add 2-3 drops of Skin Potion No.1 to the moistened cotton.
• Gently massage the entire face, neck, behind the ears, and the back of the neck with the moistened cotton.

 

You may want to dispose of the cotton round if your face is particularly dirty and start with a fresh one. However, you can also add more warm water to your cotton round, a couple more drops of oil, and continue the process.

 

Moisturizing:

• Add 2-3 drops of Skin Potion No.1 into the palms of your hand.
• Rub your hands together to warm the oil.
• Massage the oil into your face, neck, behind the ears, or anywhere moisture is needed.

 

Daily Moisturizing:

• Use 1-2 drops of Skin Potion No.1 as your daily moisturizer.
• Add the drops to your hand, rub together, and pat along your face.
• For intense dryness or flaky spots, add an additional drop to your fingertips and massage in.

 

Exfoliating and Cleansing:

• Wet a wash cloth with warm water and ring it out.
• Add 2-3 drops of Skin Potion No.1 onto the cloth.
• Massage your face with the cloth, occasionally adding more oil as you rub the cloth in a circular motion over your forehead, in between your eyes, down your nose, across your cheeks, down your jawline, across the chin, down the neck, and behind the ears.

Use this technique to remove heavy makeup too!

Skin Potion No.1 offers numerous therapeutic benefits for the skin. When I turned 37 years old, I had already spent half of my life farming and almost my entire life sunbathing, and swimming in the ocean, and I for the first time begin to see sunspots on my face.

I never expected that I would develop these spots, and right on my cheeks. I began to try all the recommended skin care products. From acids, exfoliators, and intense skin repair, and I felt like I was betraying all of my values to my body, water, and the entire planet, with unknown chemical names, ingredients that say they were naturally derived, plastic bottles, and so many steps, so many different types of products to put on my face.

 

I began to research what plants I could put on my skin, and what plants I should be eating, to help my skin repair and regenerate. Sticking with keeping myself hydrated, eating lots of fresh homegrown vegetables, cutting all all sugars and simple carbs, we’re definitely a part of healing my sun damage, but my long-term use of sea buckthorn, tamanu oil, frankincense oil, really began to show some repair. I began mixing and blending oils that were working for me, and finding the right ingredients that were grown in a way that I felt spiritually aligned with.

 

When I discovered palmarosa oil, I was in love, it’s history and use by women, its chemical constituents, it needed to be in my skin potion. Skin Potin No.1 is a culmination of my experimentation with my own skin. I did not want to exfoliate all my skin, sterilize it, and add synthetic moisture or serums. That seemed to create an imbalance in the delicate ecology and destroy the beneficial bacteria and disturb natural sebum production.

Jojoba oil is one of the most unique oils as it comes closest to matching or natural skin sebum. This is why most skin care products are formulated using jojoba oil. It is delicate for even the most sensitive skin. After about six months of using Skin Potion No.1 as a cleanser and moisturizer, my skin glows and has a restored balance that does not require harsh soaps, cleansers, toners, or moisturizers.

Store Skin Potion No.1 in a cool, dry place away from sunlight in its original amber glass bottle with tightly closed cap. Shelf life varies depending on storage conditions but can last 1-2 years in a cool, dark place with little exposure to air or moisture. 

Remember to always do a patch test before using any new skincare product, especially if you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies. If you experience any adverse reactions, stop using the product immediately.  And always be gentle while applying cream around your eye area to avoid tugging or pulling at the delicate skin. Always avoid getting the product in your eyes.
