Previously known as Super C Serum — same formula, evolved name.

Four oils, all of them carotenoid-dense, all of them associated with sunlight and solar energy in botanical medicine. Sea buckthorn, aguaje, rosehip, and rose otto — each contributing a different form of carotene, vitamin E, and essential fatty acid to a serum built around one governing idea: that the skin's resilience under environmental stress is a nutritional question as much as a topical one.

Sea buckthorn brings the highest carotenoid concentration of any plant oil — its amber color is the visible evidence. Aguaje, from the Peruvian Amazon, adds beta-carotene and vitamin E from one of the most nutrient-dense fruits in the rainforest. Rosehip from the Chilean Andes contributes vitamin A precursors and essential fatty acids. Rose otto ties the formula together aromatically and adds its own suite of skin-supportive compounds.

Lightweight and fast-absorbing. Use morning and evening after cleansing, before Skin Potion No. 1 or Venusian Balm.

  • Aguaje · Mauritia flexuosa Sourced when possible from Hello Rainforest, a women-led cooperative in the Peruvian Amazon whose harvest model protects the aguajal palm swamp ecosystems and creates sustainable income for the women who tend them.

Rosehip · Rosa rubiginosa Wild-harvested from the high altitudes of the Chilean Andes, where Rosa rubiginosa grows along mountain slopes and is gathered by local communities. Cold, UV exposure, and poor soil produce a more concentrated oil — higher carotenoid and fatty acid density than cultivated rosehip.

Sea Buckthorn · Hippophae goniocarpa Sourced from the Mekong Delta through Helvetas Vietnam's regenerative cooperative — over 300 farming families, nearly 100 tons of oil annually. The amber color of the oil is the visible evidence of its carotenoid concentration. The trees are tended, not mined.

Rose Otto · Rosa x damascena Steam-distilled from Damask rose petals — one of the most labor-intensive essential oils in existence. Do you know your specific supplier region? Bulgarian and Turkish rose otto have distinct provenance stories worth naming if you have that detail.
