The Dragon’s Blood resin used in this balm is sourced through Hello Rainforest, a small, women-led company based in the Peruvian Amazon.
Working in direct relationship with Indigenous communities, including the Matsés people, they support the continued use of traditional plant knowledge while protecting the ecological integrity of the forest.
The resin—known locally as sangre de grado—is carefully tapped from living trees using rotational harvesting methods that allow each tree time to recover. This ensures the longevity of the species and minimizes disruption to the surrounding ecosystem.
Rather than extractive supply chains, this work is rooted in reciprocity: fair compensation, local processing, and long-term partnership with the communities who have stewarded these plants for generations.
