Regenerative, Organic Selfcare

Regeneration Story
Our oil comes from Olivado's project in Kenya. Working with small organic farms certified by EcoCert IMO. They buy avocados directly from small bio-diverse farms in order to ensure complete traceability from farm to bottle.

"Our field officers work closely with the farmers year-round, ensuring that they understand the requirements of their organic status and providing education in farm management, organic fertilizing, and pruning.

All our avocados are bought at a premium set price in advance, thus bypassing brokers and guaranteeing the local farmers a regular income." - Olivado
About the plant
A tree in the plant family Lauraceae, originating from south-central Mexico. The fruit of the plant, an avocado, is botanically a large berry containing a single large seed. Avocado trees are partially self-pollinating and are often propagated through grafting for predictable fruit.

Mexico is the world's largest avocado producer. Data published in 2013, states that avocado production covered 188,723 hectares (415,520 acres), and the harvest was 2.03 million tonnes in 2017. In Michoacán, one of the biggest areas growing avocados, families are threatened by drug cartels that extort "protection fees" from cultivators. Learn more in the documentary series, Rotten Season 2 Episode 1, “The Avocado War” details how the popular super-food has created areas of oppression and greed in dangerous regions.
